Hotpoint Empress help

Hi guys! Ok, so aquired two Hotpoint Empress machines today. One is cream, no heater, octagonal tub, and the other is white, also heaterless I think (I'm picking it up tomorrow) red lid, and a blue round tub. The cream one is at home. So far I'm softening the fill hose in warm water, and I'm told to fill the tub with warm water to soften the machines pipes. It switches on, agitator runs, but it does sound noisy, as lots of oil leaked out during transit. Which oil do I fill it with? The wringer lever that mak to rotate forward or backward is stuck in the 12 oclock position. It moves bout 1 cm either way. The wring turny thing in the hole works,I can see it spinning. So, what should I know, and what shouldn't I do? Hopefully the white machine will be working fully. They have been in a shed for a coupke of years, and will clean up well. Pics to come. Oh, how do I get tge agitator off?

Update

Ok, it is working near perfect. The noise was due to the pump lever being loose,plus having no water in it for years. It now operates with a nice steady click.clack sound. The pipe from the drain to the pump started to leak a tad, until I reakised I was using my HMDL fill hose to empty it, and was caiusibg pressure back to the pump. The wringer on the other hand... The lever on the left han side is still stuck.in the 12o clock position. It just won't budge. Plus, the botom rollrs bearng is missing. Hopefully the wringer on the other was is better. Oh, which tub would you say ietter, octagonal otlr round? I like a nice rollover.

Glad you have got yourself an empress , wonderful machines.
I don't know what is wrong with the wringer but if all else fails I'm sure that somewhere I have a spare cream wringer.
I only live in Driffield so easy to get it to you.

Thanks! I may take you up on that, I'll have to get my friend to pick up. The white machine is fine, thevcream one has the bad wringer. That woukd set me up with two fully working machines. I'll get vmback to you on that. How much do you want for it?
