Hi guys do any of you have a hotpoint empress wringer washer you can measure the dimensions for me?

I'm thinking about getting an old beat up one that's beyond repair and using the casing to hide an integrated modern fl washer in side. I'm thinking one might fit and I'd use the front as a door so it looks old but is modern

Does anyone have an old beat up machine ? Or a vintage front loader from the 1950s 1960s that doesn't work but has a good casing ?

Any help would be great

Thanks Richard

It might be better if you looked for a Sevis Superheat machine as the front already opens up - see the link. I am not suggesting this one, just so you can see what I am talking about. It looks like the Empress might not quite be big enough, see below. Might be worth checking out an H axis machine though. Or failing all else, what about a SMEG washer?

More problems with the Bendix?

Hello Al.

Yes the heater on the bendix is now either on all the time or off. I could hard wire it to plug separate but seems a faff I was thinking about an integrated w/d in a empress case but I think your right it's too big. Never thought of a Smeg . Just checked also email off washer man in lancs he only had the incoming water thermostat that mixes hot n cold as fills not heater thermostat. So no further forward there.

This sunny weathers made me tho if you and Mike and the washer heaven how it going ?

I've been tinkering with my keymatic may have got the spin clutch sorted. ! Ordered some glycerin to massage the hoses. A few new spade connectors and it might just do a wash !

Hope to see you all doon

Spade Connectors

Richard
Have you managed to get spade connectors that are the same shape as the Keymatic originals with the wiring entering at 90 degrees to the spade? I've been looking for some for mine as the terminal block cover won't go on with the standard sort and the only ones I managed to get that look the same as the originals are too tall and push the wires off the adjacent terminals. I'd be interested to know if you've managed to get some.

Thanks
Ian.
