Hotpoint Empress

Hi there, could you help me please? Just found an Empress (i think!) whilst clearing out. Its in reasonable shape & just needs some tlc. Could you shed some light on its value for me & whats the best way to go about selling it? Thanks.

HI Thomas ,
Even in very good condition an Empress usually wont sell for more than £100.00 and often much less.
Presumably because they were so well built thats why so many survive and hence are not as rare as many other washers of the same era.
This link will take you to a topic i started , if you scroll down to the photo the washer on the right is an Empress.
You will also see that it has a heater control on the front , this model is just slightly more scarce than the others.
If you could post a photo on AW.org lots of people on here will be able to advise you better than me about selling it but i would imagine that ebay is your best bet.
