Hi everyone

I was soooo pleased when I found this. It looks like the model just prior to the 18580.

The ad is right near the beginning. This guy has loads of vintage ads and I'm sure there are more washer ones out there.

Rob

Here is one for Bold and Indesit in 1976. It's 1.15 in. There is also a Fairy ad at the beginning. Not sure what the machine is that Fanny Craddock uses??

Hi Rob

Thanks for taking the time to find the adds and post them. They are fabulous!

Hope im not going to far on this one but....

Now the fairy soap bar add........There is a joke there somewhere about a Fanny and a Fairy not going together (for those not old enough Fanny Craddock in the add was a famous 70s tv cook). (And for our American friends fanny means something completely different over here).

Couldn't resist..sorry!

how do rob.

like with mark, can i offer my thanks for finding and posting these links.

the liberator is the model 1848 variable machine, which your 18580 replaced.
as a bit of an aside the 18580 was replaced by the 18680 version - i assume this machine had a brown facia. anyone able to confirm the facia colour? or better still a piccy!!?

the indesit is the L5 of which i encountered two when i was a kid. a great aunt and uncle owned one, as did a cousin of mine who kept it going till 1989, when it was replaced by a polar white hotpoint washer dryer.

like with you rob, i haven't got the foggiest idea what the machine is that fanny is using. possibly a dryer, going from the drop down door?

great adverts.
cheers
paul

Hi everyone! The Bold AD with the Indesit L5 is amazing for me! Here a picture of my Indesit L5 of 1976! Enjoy it!!!

Hi guys thanks for your comments.

Thanks for the link Seamus, I've just seen your Tiger link which did not work at my workplace.

Hi Riccardo and welcome to the site! I remember lots of those Indesit's as a child. If you can and have time I would love to see a lot more of your collection. Maybe an Indesit L series thread would be good! Does your's move around a lot when it spins?
