Hi Gary.

All thanks to Mathew and Rob for the hard work with it.

Great that the ice box works - give her a clean and see how she comes up.
Will e-mail you piccies of your new machine later tonight!

cheers for commenting.

some of the detailing...

here is the dial - rather mucky and very difficult to clean.

luckily, i have managed to source most of the parts needed to make a new one. Wont be replaced though until its mechanically required...

OLD bearings.....

compare and contrast this OLD vid, which was taken before the repair work was done. in fact it was taken a day after we collected the machine....

NEW bearings....

....with this vid of the finished article, spinning its load of jeans.

Could almost be a different machine...

Thats the 1826 update.

here she lies dormant, waiting for the day she can be more permanently placed in a home...

Machine number 2

A one picture reveal of another recent machine.

This time its a timeline Hotpoint 15790 Super De Luxe.
Due to the hassles involved with moving top loaders, I am afraid that there wont be any updates soon for this machine. Mechanically restored it, like all our machines, awaits a day when they can be moved to a more permanent home.

August 1983

making it a perfect match for out 17221 compact dryer, which was made in exactly the same month of 1983...

Great job, nice to see that name on a fully working machine.
Great photos of the strip down and rebuild..

Great Job.

Hi.
You have two of my all time favourites-
Liberator- Purple . Ahhh-- lovely!
Timeline Top loader.
Im now off to watch your YT video for a "fix" .
Regards.
Louis.

Hi Lee and Louis.

Glad you like the pics and the machines and thanks for commenting.

Even though it isnt a GEC machine, as you say Lee, its nice to see the name 'Liberator' on a front loading automatic again. Fingers crossed that someone will find a GEC Liberator one day.

Its a shame that we cant get the 15790 out to play - they are a pain to move, if you havent got a van. One day i will get a film of that timeline ticking across.

cheers guys
paul
