Yes, it took a lot more work that I was expecting! I knew that it needed drum bearings, so I replaced those and the motor brushes firstly. I discovered that the spider was crumbling and that bits of it had damaged the drum itself. Thankfully I was able to use the one from her WM63 machine, which had just broken! It was almost identical, but I also had to swap out the clipped-on plastic front because the drum was fouling the old one by about 1mm! Unfortunately this necessitated swapping over the heating element and making a new hole for the extra thermistor from the Microtronic L.E. After all this it worked for about an hour and then the RFI mains filter exploded! Thankfully I was again able to steal one from the WM63. I replaced a dodgy door microswitch too, so quite a job in the end, but it had become personal!
