Is anyone familiar with this Hotpoint range model, and able give an approximate date of manufacturer?

My best guess would be very late forties to early fifties, but I thought some of you could give an exact date.

thanks...
Barry

39 inch hot point range

It's somewhere between about 1954 and 56. It might even be a 1957We had the exact same range in the double oven version for many years, but it was in pretty bad shape so I parted it out a couple years ago.

It was a very good range in its time and could still be a great range depending on the condition.

date

Thanks, John.

Do you think it could be as late as a '58? The guy I talked to said the manufacture's tag indicates it was made in '68. I told him that was not possible, that it was likely a nineteen fifties model. If there is a date code, he obviously misread it due to dirt or corrosion. If the last digit is correct then it would be either a '48 or '58 model.

Hotpoint stove listing

Thanks, Kevin.

I got the guy to change his listing from "1968 stove" to "1950's stove." The listed price of $500 might be somewhat ambitious, lol.

serial number

The guy listing the range sent a catalog number and serial number, as posted. Anyone know how to interpret Hotpoint's serial number? They are different from the serial number composition of General Electric labeled products.

It looks as if this range is a model lower in the line than the model in the ad above, as it has a burner in place of the deep well shown in the ad photo.
