As most of the guys in the UK know, the media are being relentless on the WHIRLPOOL Corp issue with Hotpoint/Indesit/Creda and now Swan tumble dryer fire issue.
This Morning TV has done a feature on it every day this week.
Of course Hottie are saying they will get to everyone to fix the dryers, some have been offered new models at discount.
However with the amount of affected dryers, and the amount of engineers there is, it is calculated that it is going to take 5 YEARS to get to everyone.
TM is now saying that the government should step in and consumers should get full refunds and the dryers out of homes (750 or so of the 5.5M affected have actually caught fire)
I was just thinking, do you think hotpoint will be affected by this to the point where they could irreparably damage the brand if they don't recall, and we could lose the brand altogether?
What do you think?
