Hi Guys!

Just had an email from my cousin asking about her Hotpoint washing machine, it's a WD645 and the Error code F-08 is now flashing up, research shows it is a heater relay fault but does anyone know what it could be and how it can be fixed?

My initial response would be to buy a newer machine for the simple fact these Hotpoints aren't great and as soon as you get the heater fixed there will be something else going wrong but that is just my opinion, any help you can offer would be great!

Pedro :-)

Hi Pedro

I have an AEG washer that came up with a fault code i was unsure of. What I done was googled the fault code and it showed me how to reset the machine. dont know if this helps as just pointing out the obviuos. if the machine is not that old i would try and bear with it if its the first fault thats happened
good luck

Ive had this error message on my hotpoint.... research told me it was either the heater or the pressure switch to fault. It was the pressure switch in my case.
I am presuming a pressure switch is an easy and cheap fix. However ours was done by Hotpoint under the 5 year warranty.

Ask your sister does the drain pump run constantly whilst flashing the error? If so the pressure switch is at fault.

I dont think the drain pump is running all the time. My advice was possibly a loose connection on the PCB or at the heater end, something blown on the PCB or, just a duff PCB (wow, it seemed like i said "PCB" alot in that last sentence, lol) they've had it 5 years and 2 weeks, they're going to take a look at it and if nothing obvious is wrong then they're going to replace it.

Thanks for your help though guys, very much appreciated!
