Garbage disposal...

I never knew Speed Queen made garbage disposals. I can't get a picture of the whole label due to the way it's installed, but this gives you an idea....

I love it! I cannot wait to get my Miele Dishwasher next year. I too have become rather disenchanted with my Kenmore. Cleaning power is starting to really lack and drying has become abysmal. I might have to give the Miele tabs a try.

The quiche looked really good too.

After the dishes...

Comes the vacuuming. This is a mid 70's Nutone system. Still works like a champ. I usually use the Miele though, because this system didn't have the powerhead with it. But it does come with the shag rug tool!

Old classic stoves with mechanical thermostats are like women; they got hotter (faster) as they get old............

Power unit...

Who ever installed this messed up. It should have been exhausted to the outside, or at least with a muffler. It is LOUD. I can't stand to go near it when its on.

Maytagbear

That's Smudge. He's one of the two cats I'm taking care of. He's friendly and loves people, but the female cat Cinderella, is VERY shy and hides under the bed all the time.

Oh come on!

Where's the washer and dryer??

Cool pics, Andy. It looks like a total Frigidaire kitchen when new. If I had to guess, I would say that SQ disposer was a Whirlaway. SQ had D&M dishwashers around this time as well, service books for them are downstairs. I love the foam-rubber cocoon it's in - with woodgrain! Kitchen carpet - in gold. This really is a blast from the 70's for sure.

That Miele is a beautiful dishwasher indeed.

Cheese?!?

I cant believe it!

I've always liked that Eureka rug nozzle. Glides smoooth and great edge cleaning.

and Happy (belated) B-day...

The original washer/dryer must have been replaced. In the laundry room is a Whirlpool pair that appear to be from the early 90's. I didn't snap a pic of them. There is however an old Ironrite in the basement. I haven't gotten it out to look at it yet.

Fun Stuff, Andy. What a gorgeous kitty! I bet the cental vac scares the hell out of him. Who knew Speen Queen badged gargabe disposers! As nice as the Miele DW is, I could easily see an older KitchenAid in there.

the FRIGIDAIRE Twin #0 is a great range to have.I had a Custom Imperial twin 30 that had removeable upper oven racks that, when placed in the lower oven could be cleaned ruring its Electri-clean oven's self clening cycle.I also prefered the Radiantube heating elements over GE's
