Well, Robert you have always said Minnesota is a blue state so very proudly ! I am impressed !! with the Blueness!!!
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 7) - Voters elected a black Democrat as the first Muslim in Congress on Tuesday

I saw Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs was quoted by Michelle Malkin as saying, "They’ll be celebrating in Gaza tomorrow."

Such delightful Americans!

YAY, Keith Ellison is in my district (MN5) and I did cast my vote for him to help elect the first Muslim to congress. I was a bit concerned when I first heard that Keith was a Muslim because I was worried how he would vote on gay/lesbian issues. But after I did some research on his past voting record in the Minnesota Senate he has been EXTREMELY wonderful to our community and so I voted for him proudly.

Also the MN House and MN Senate seem to be a Democrat landslide at this time, as for the Governors race that is still a nail biter and we probably wont know the outcome for quite a few hours yet.

All in all a very good night in the Northland.

Congrats!

It must be a reassuring feeling to be in a place with a solid progressive footing (my friends live in St. Paul, and say it was the best move they ever made....)

It's a beautiful NEW day. ;o))

!!! party over here, party over there !!!

The stench of pouting rotting republicans lingers in the air. The garbage pickup can't come soon enough.

It's still not believable for me. :-)

Exit polls were always very reliable, except in the last 3 elections. It's amazing how the exit polls were dead on this year. hmmmm.

Still problems abound for electronic voting machines.

repubs with desperate voting suppression in certain states. FBI is investigating.

Today is the day to actually listen or watch the likes of Drug addict gas bag rush limbaugh, fox news, hannity, bitchy grace, orilly, Reverend 3 chins, etc. just to see them pout. waaa waaa. poor babies. who will they blame now?

LOL

At the beginning of the year I made several predicitions that have amazingly come true so far. So what must be next is the Impeachment, the prosecution, (the executions, snicker, snicker), reclaiming the billions of dollars wasted on haliburton.

Now we have to keep our eyes on the graspy repub neocons who are going to try behind the scenes to set up Dems because they can't accept their own failures.

AZ rejected gay marriage ban, SD rejected unrealistic repressive abortion restrictions.

OMG, santorums teary eyed Concession speech. Those kids looked straight from the set of "Children of the Corn" scary.

Drunky Mc-Puke-shoes tom delay in denial of his ethical woes. lol. Looses his seat to a Democratic leader in Texas.

It's times like this that it is GREAT to be an American!!

Of course the sicko radicals will have us believe that our New Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi(applause) is going to lead our country to hell.
So I guess "the jhadists" have won. 'illegal aliens are going to come abroad and kill and eat our white children, steal our jobs and make us speak Spanish'. Oh no. Soon terrorist attacks will be rampant (no doubt neocons, the real terrorists, trying to scare us)
Just a chance we have to take.

Thanks to everyone who got out and voted and kept the faith.
I like to think that my volunteer efforts to mobilize voters made at least a small difference.

Applause, Applause, Applause. Happy Days are here Again!!

While the metro area of Minnesota and the northern arrowhead region are generally pretty 'blue', the southern third of the state---especially the southwestern area, where I live---is very, very 'red'. Fortunately, this area of the state is sparsely populated, so it can't always overtake the blueness of the metro area. The only time it comes into play is in very tight elections. Like the governor's race in this election.

I believe Amy Klobuchar is our first elected female senator, too.

I'm sorry we didn't get the votes to ouster our governor, Tim Pawlenty. But, overall I can't complain. It was a wonderfully blue night here in MN.

Now it's down to the senatorial race in Vermont......

I think you respectfully mean Virginia.

I lived in Minnesota a short while in Plymouth. very Nice. Progressive City Minneapolis is. And Al Franken is there now too.

I'm not sure we even know what the Rethugs have done to us yet.

At least now, we can investigate and see.

Dear Mr. Pres

This election has been brought to you by the color BLUE and the letters F and U. :)
couldn't resist, p'd my sister off this morning....as we are on opposite sides of the political spectrum. But we still love each other. :)

It was worth standing in line.

Well for once i feel like they counted my vote, first time, in a Long time. alr2903

I just heard that the senate position in Virginia went Democrat.

Wow. What an election!

Karl Rove was on NPR a couple of weeks ago, being very condescending and stupendously arrogant concerning how the Republicans would hold both houses of Congress and anyone who thought differently was an idiot.

And to think that had the administration's level of hubris not gone through the roof and had Bush had his 'thoughtful conversations' with Rumsfeld 2 months ago, the whole election might have had a very different ending...

Cheney went 'hunting' today.

I'm wondering who is going to be coming forth by the end of the weekend apologizing
TO Cheney
BECAUSE Cheney shot
THEM ???

Of course anyone with a brain wouldn't .... well thats a mute point, considering the circumstances.
