I recently purchased an older home which came with this older GE Potscrubber 600 dishwasher. I was thinking about replacing it but before I do I was wondering what year it is from and weather or not it is a dependable model. The model number on it is GSD600D-03.

Longest Lasting Dishwasher Ever Made

To anyone who has one of these, DO NOT REPLACE! This is hands down the longest lasting and most dependable dishwasher ever made in this history of humanity and the best dishwasher ever made for removing dried on and baked on soils. The main wash can be extended by 18 minutes on Potscrubber and another 18 minutes in the main wash and 9 minutes in the final rinse if the water temp is not hot enough. The heater runs the whole wash time no matter what, so with 140-150*F inlet temps the water gets substantially hotter. Long 32 minute heated dry. This machine will out clean anything past or present. Absolutely worth having.

The dishwasher pictured here appears to be a great shape. This can give at least 20 years trouble free.

People don't know what they have!

Oh gosh yes! <3 And don't forget the steam pulsing out the vent as the water hits it and the steam coming out during the drain at the end of the main wash when the water heater was turned up. The wash action sounded not to brass and not to muffled on the permatuff linear. The whir of the motor. All pleasant and the sound of thorough washing. How I wish they still made these machines.
