How old is this Philco refrigerator?

I found it free. I don't know if I really need it or not, but it is tempting... How old is it? Is it worth getting or just let it go? It probably would hang out in my garage (I'm working on getting early GE combo unit for the kitchen)... thoughts?

Cool Philco refer. Too bad some asshat painted the chrome door handles when (assuming) painting the exterior. Ugh, a little tape goes a long way!!

I've been doing some ad research... it looks prior to 1963, but I could be mistaken.

I'd reckon it's a mid fifties.

Not older than 1957. I'd snap it up for free.

I know... They painted the handles, part of the emblem and the grill at the bottom. I wonder if it was pink? Look at the bottom of the 3rd picture by the door...

Bottom of the door. How is that little shelf held on and how do I repair it. Duct tape looks a little bad...

Also does anyone have any tempered glass that would work above the crisper drawer? That shelf in the picture above is actually supposed to be higher up in the fridge. I need to double check the measurements and I will in a bit.

Go to your local glass shop, they should even be able to round the back corners - take one of the metal shelves as a guide.
