unstick a stuck computer keyboard holder???

One of my friends got mad and shoved his keyboard holder thing on his computer desk really hard and now its stuck all the way in and won't come back out.

I've just about tied myself in a knot trying to see what it could be caught on but I dont see anything.

Any ideas?

Two

One) Don't take it out on machines, like h-e-double hockey sticks they don't have souls...and they are vengeful.
Two) The telescoping metal rails have stops at the end. These jam and or the inner rail "jumps" the track when too much force is used. If you really rack it, bearings and their races get jammed in there, too.

Solution? Unscrew the mechanism from below - unless, of course, the screws are now covered by the stuck drawer. In that case, take a vice-grip (or really hefty set of pliers) and grab one end of one of the tracks. Turn it out and away from the keyboard. It will twist off, the mechanism will fall down and the keyboard will be freed.

Lots of sharp edges and nasty flying bits of shrapnel.
