Although I really have no need for any more detergent, I will be traveling all around the State of Texas next week for work. While I am out, I plan to visit some local stores for various detergents that I cannot find here in my town. This week I will be visiting Midland, Dallas, Bryan/College Station, Houston and Galveston. I will also be taking my pickup, so if I happen to finy any cool vintage appliances, I will be able to haul them home.

While I am out, I hope to find some Viva and Ariel Bajaespuma (Mexican Detergents). I would also love to find some other foreign detergents. Does anyone know of any great markets in any of those areas where I might find some other foreign detergents? As I will be out and about, I don't mind a bit of a drive. I guess this is close as I am going to come to a vacation anytime soon! LOL.

Good luck! You'll probably have no problem finding a GE Filter-Flo to bring home!

And of course when I do the BIG Wash-In you'll be able to go on another appliance hunting trip!

Greetings from

Bryan,

With regards to the Mexican detergents, you will find an overabundance of them in most of the "Only 99 cents" stores. Whilst traveling down I-45 south through Houston, exit College/Airport Blvd (Hobby) turn left (west) and you will be in Mexico Retail Heaven. Se habla espanol? LOL

Fiesta stores sell alot of the different detergents also. Foca, Ariel, and a few others I can't recall right now.
But most of these can also be found in the 99 cent stores too, just smaller packaging.

There are so many different types of dollar stores here, they almost outnumber the Taqueria's. There are also quite a few used appliance places, Alamo Thrift stores, Salvation Army stores in the area also.

Hope this helps, and good luck on your trip.

Carol:

That sounds GREAT! And SI, hablo espanol. So I guess I won't have a hard time finding some VIVA, and maybe even the Ariel Bajaespuma. Maybe I will find some other cool stuff while I am there.

Thanks!

Tex
