Very unusual range

Can't tell from the pic if this is 30" or 36" wide. If 30", I've never seen one before that has two ovens like this does. Remember seeing GregM's light green model that has the deep well, but he didn't show it open. His seemed to be a fancier model than the one shown. I have seen 36" GE models with large and small ovens, but they have no deep well.

The stove is 30" wide. The main oven is 17". The broiler is about 9 inches wide. This was their first attempt. You can see the disadvantages in that you have to have the oven door in the broil position to broil in either oven do you can't be baking in the main oven and broiling in the side compartment. The next year, there were two doors; the oven door that opened down and the broiler compartment had a door that swung sideways. The broiler also became a vertical broiler after a year, then this design was abandoned for a single wide oven.

NOT a 57!!!

This is the same stove I grew up with, the one we had was bought in 1954,my Grandmother got it when they remodeled and took out the Majestic wood stove! it is a 30 inch, Hotpoint saved money by using the same oven that was in a 40 inch range and a small storage compartment, this is a middle of the road one just like ours, the top of the line had color lighted pushbuttons and a small rotisserrie in the compartment to the left of the oven.
