today my maytag centennial "commercial" washer failed again. it is most certainly the $600 motor I replaced last year. machine was 7 yrs old and it took an act of god(emails to whirlpool CIO/etc) to get maytag/whirlpool to send me another motor under warranty.
this is my third washer in 20 yrs. I have spent at least $3500 in washing machines in that 20 years. We are not heavy washers, but we do 6-10 loads a week, with kids going off to college, the qty of loads will likely diminish to 4-8 loads a week very soon.

I am looking at a cheap commercial speedqueen EA1121WT. its a well used coin laundry model. the price is right ($250). I am able to repair/rebuild/restore the machine, but would prefer a machine that runs like a tank, I am not concerned with high efficiency,I just want a reliable machine. are there are known weak spots/maintenance issues with these machines?

what is the consensus on the speed queen commercial coin machines? specifically this model? The price is right, I have no problem buying some spare wear parts to have on hand when repair is needed.

$3,500.00 Makes a SQ FL washer @ 1,500.00

Look pretty reasonable, plus in 20 years it probably would have saved another 1,500.00 in operating costs, looking at total costs in life is why many of us are millionaires and many others are constantly spending money on machines, repairs and high utility bills.

Do it once do it right.
