Good to hear you're back home, Larry.

Try not to beat yourself up too much over the high blood sugar. With a family history of heart disease, it's not all your fault that you got sick. I assume you're on statins and you watch the diet. I have type 2 as well, and I noticed that when I cut trans fats from my diet my cholesterol readings got a LOT better. Extra virgin olive oil also helps keep the good cholesterol up.

It's weird, though. My own experience is that it seems to me that my diet and physical activity is consisten, but the blood sugar sometimes seems to have a mind of its own. I suppose there's a sound medical reason for it to fluctuate so much, and it's tough not to be subjective about things like diet and exercise, but it can be frustrating.

Welcome back.

Good to have you home again. Health issues are just a total bi!@h but it's better to age gracefully than not to age at all. Rest well, recover, and when you feel up to it go do some laundry.

Good to hear that you are back and recovering. And remember, just lt those appliances do the heavy work for you!!

Take care!

Good to hear you are back home and have a good chance at recovery. Diabetes is a nasty bugger, combined with heart problems is even more scary - I have a very good friend that was in a coma for three weeks four years ago and is still recovering in many ways. Do what the doctors and specialists tell you - and watch that diet!

Good to have you back - GN

I'm really glad you're on the road back to good health.

I need to be tested for diabetes myself. The soles of my feet are always dry and cracked and my legs are swollen (this is totally new) and I'm forever sipping on diet soda, which I'm told might be telltale signs.

I really hope I don't have to change my diet-I'm used to it!
