I found this dishwasher while trolling the local on-line classifieds in Montreal - I know better than to try and go for it myself  (I am working on something rather interesting and so far, I have not had divorce papers from Hubby...) but I am very curious about this particular machine...

The picture posted by the seller is not very clear, alas.    The overall design is screaming D&M to me, and I can't help but wonder if it might be a Bélanger...  The only reason I think that is because of the control dial (and I don't rightly know why, just a gut feeling, I guess).

The 'edging' around the door and motor panel access are not something I recall seeing on a portable dishwasher before and the control panel seems to be an extension of the door panel rather than a separate panel like on 70s machines like my ol' 78 Kenmore.

Perhaps it is time for me to start looking for a storage depot somewhere.... LOL

In the past , I had a "Lady Kenmore"  that looked very much like the pictured unit. It lacked the the genuine wood top. I think the "framing"

around the panels are a " user " addition. Perhaps to "spruce" it up a bit? Mine had an array of the usual cycle customizing buttons: heated dry

on/heated dry off, maybe Hitemp Wash and Rinse and Hold . Porcelain on steel interior. pale yellow racks, the standard water conduit from the

bottom up the rear left corner for the fixed second level spray arm and the smaller top down spinner. A decent machine, I gave it to a friend.

He used it sparingly until it began to leak from the door; maybe the door seal or the detergent dispenser gasket. It still holds court in his plain

roomy 1920's-30's San Francisco kitchen , providing surface for the toaster and drip coffee maker. I'd be surprised if it couldn't be easily

brought back into service just from being "glared" at by at least 50% of AWO's membership.... Darrel

Yup, a Kenmore for sale there. Their dishwashers went to this ghastly door-frame design around the mid-80's IIRC. Never liked it much but underneath the facade, it was the same D&M we've all come to *ahem* love. Darrel might be right, the additional embellishment on the front upper and lower panels may have been added by the owner. I don't remember ever seeing that in the lineup, but who knows? Could have been a special trim package for the Canadian market.
