Some out there I think can be adjusted, but on your model, I don't think it can (I could be wrong)...That's why I'm so interested in finding out exactly how much water the skincare rinse uses. I've heard on other boards in the past that they do use more water and the new Duet's (some) have it now and in the manual it states higher rinse levels but that is about as specific as it gets. I've also read on this board that some LG machines have a "comforter" cycle that uses a lot of water, but again, I have yet to see for myself. Those will be my deciding factors on which machine I buy next, since my Duet is 5 years old and I have no clue how much longer it will last. I'm happy with it now and I hope it does last (although I'm ready for something new) :)

Keep It!!!

First--It's the last year of Whirlpool sourced Kenmore washers
Second--It's a nice color
Third--You really will love the Steam function. I have the Maytag version, I was afraid it would be a gimick, but it works, and it's fun to watch too. I'm not unhappy with water levels, the clothes are clean.

If you haven't already, buy the extended warranty. I know, it's a waste for some, but I felt "these aren't granny's wringers anymore" There is so much that can go wrong, as you have alread found out.

From Randy - Thanks Mark!

Mark,

Thanks for the response - I've not been able to find out any info on reprograming water levels for my GE front loader either. I've not had any other problems with this machine at all to this point other than the water level issue and hopefully that will be the case for a few years to come.

I'm also into the vintage side and will be picking up a White-Westinghouse front loader and matching dryer from the 1970s later in the month. It may end up being the back up if the GE starts to have problems. Seems like all these modern front loaders of any brand seem to have more trouble than ones in the past and definately more than the top loaders many times. At any rate, will continue to research the GE water level issue and if I find out something will post it here for everyone.

Thanks again!

Hey kevin that can be a collectors piece since they switched to LG.
Now you have a heated washer and all those cycles got to tell me which one's you like and what options you well be using.
How fast is the spin speed on that model ?
I hope everything works out.

Darren, I'm pretty sure it's 1100 RPM.

UPDATE: The Parts have been ordered and the service tech is scheduled to come back out on the 15th to install the new CCU and wire harness.
