I don't get this at all.

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

OMG!!!!!! DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO!!!!

It is NOT a matter of getting it... it's a matter of torturing fish! WTF???

And it sounds like the idiot "author" is labeling it as "art". What a crock of SHIT!

I flagged this video as violent - animal abuse and I strongly suggest that anyone actually views it PLEASE do the same!!!!!!

That's Messed Up...

Normally with these videos that get posted with the titles of "OMG" or something similiar I just roll my eyes and wonder why everyone is overreacting.

This one is different.....that's just messed up. If the wash action didn't kill the fish (which it did in the first couple of cycles of the wash-plate) the chlorine in the water or the detergent residue from the washer sure did.

Some people are just stupid. This video demonstrated less than poor judgement on the behalf of the creator and makes you wonder why they found it necessary to kill a bunch of fish to make a video with a lame point?

I too flagged that video.....first video I have EVER flagged on YouTube.

I used to raise Koi....

Sick and perverted

Absolutely disgraceful, this fool should be totally ashamed of themselves, imagine tortuting those poor fish and then labelling it art!!!!! sounds like a real attention seeker.
You know I wonder if morons like this start off with fool ideas like this and then progress later in life to torturing other animals and then to humans.
Sick and perverse.
Steve.

I found this video clip shocking as well-Fish in a washer?Crazy and cruel. And for what purpose?Normally I am not a PETA fan-but wonder if this should be brought to their attention.I don't see the "art" in this video clip.Maybe someone should put the "bonehead" that made the clip into the "Hydropulper" and say its ART!

Fish Torture

I didn't get to see the video. But I have heard (actually seen images)of people putting gangles of hooks into the water to attract fish. The hooks pierce areas inside the mouth and have barbs that prevent the fish from getting away. They are then drug by these hooks! Apparently the "trick" is to pull real hard when you notice a fish might have the hook in its mouth so the barbed hook tears into flesh inside the mouth or gullet and gets really well set. Then you pull, then let back, pull and let back ad infinitum until the fish is totally, I mean totally, worn and freaked out.

When the fish is brought out of the water (now mind you, it is hanging by its mouth or gullet - I am serious - hanging by the by the mouth or gullet!), this behavior is then cheered by fellow sadists, often raising a bottle of beer in salute.

Then, in these more modern times, the hook or hooks are ripped out of the fish and it is returned to the water to heal and be tortured again.

I'm serious. I have seem the images.

I'm not.....

I'm not EVEN going to watch. My temper is thru the roof normally, but watching what I've read about I might destroy this new HP computer. I think that some things on YT need censored or something. I'd like to be judge for that.....Bill in Az....

I love ya, Bill, but no. Not censorship.

That's where we part. Y'll can click away - but don't speak of censorship. It's okay for an "angler" to torture fish but not okay for an "artist" to torture fish. And what about the bassomatic?

No, not censorship - that is where I draw the line.

I would ask ALL of you to.........

.... to PLEASE click on the link above... BUT then click the PAUSE button as SOON at the page comes up (so the video will NOT play) and then FLAG the video for VIOLENT content!

Bill in Az.... you can do that too... just stop the video before it starts and flag it! This NEEDS to be pulled from YouTube!

You're right

You're right Mr. Rocket!! Maybe there is some other word I could use. But there's such STUPID shit on YT. Maybe YT should charge the stupid people money to post their crap or maybe we could send the Animal Planet and the ASPCA after them?... Love ya, too.....Bill in Az.....

So, Kevin's a Censor, Too.

And Kevin, do you think scatological references and reference to sex acts should be removed from this AW site? If you don't like it - don't look at it.

Would you, like some people in my and slightly older generation, be in favor of burning Salinger's Catcher in the Rye?

I think The Bible is one of the most violent, disturbing, wrong headed things I have ever read but I don't think it should be censored.

...and while you are at it, please let me know if you give "the angler" a pass on his fish torturing and, if so, why?

...And Bill, your suggestion that YouTube surcharge 'stupid people' (and are you going to decide who is stupid) is just more censorship.

Boring.

Okay, I finally watched the video. I found it boring. So, I am trying to understand what is going on here. Is it that in the case of the guy in the goofy hat and fishing rod most of the torture is underwater and not visible?

Check out this video if fish torture. Frankly, I had to shut it off. I couldn't watch. Could y'all please flag it as violent for me. Thank you so much.

people r sick

this guy is a SICK moron! somebody needs to put him in a BIG 100 lb washcomat and turn it on!! the world wouldn't be missing anything.

Jesus........
I'm shocked (and it takes a lot). For anyone who has had fish as pets know they have personalities, and can be as sweet as any dog or cat. That's just awful. I flagged it.

Flagged!!!!!!!

I think it's animal cruelty as well, and I flagged it has violent as well. I could never harm an animal, not even a fish. Hell, I can't even kill a mouse or a snake, it's just something I could never do. I clicked on the video after watching the video of the Speed Queen washer, now I wish I hadn't.

C'Mon Foraloysius --

College students have stewed gold fish in stomach acid since Jesus was in a fraternity. People have used hooks, nets, dynamite, whatever on fish since before breast augmentation. Live fish are iced and left to gasp. I suspect you don't go on such a foul mouthed rant about fishermen - they would probably put you on ice in some fishing boat and ship you out of the country.

Really, do you not eat fish? Boycott grocery stores that sell it?

Fish Violence - Frist Fish, then......

It was actually the fishing of early Christians that resulted in a cultivation of a taste for blood and violence resulting in wholesale slaughter of humans during what is curiously referred to as the "Crusades."

I have and will continue to go fishing but, this guy is a sick individual and needs serious psychiatric annalisis to be profesionaly treated.I flagged him.

Sanctioned Torture

Chuck, what makes your torture of fish unremarkable and his a reason for concern about his mental health?

Start Over

Really, you guys, start at the top and look at the things you have said. Like he should be pulverized for putting gold fish in a washing machine. His lame, boring video brought out foul mouthed, violent responses from you. Maybe that is what it is about - how close some people are to the edge.

I suspect that no one is suggesting that Laundromat be tugged around with a hook in his cheek for his own fish torture -- yet you wish violence on this guy.

And how about those that put fish in a tank for heaven's sake to swim in mindless/endless/meaningless/lifeless circles until they die of boredom. Or are freaked out by a small treasure chest endlessly opening and closing, opening and closing.

I think the "artist" hit something right on. He tripped your trigger big time with a handful of "animals" you eat on a regular basis and don't seem to mind at all their gulping on a fishing boat deck.

And don't try to tell me you don't wear shoes made from fish skin.

Needless acts of cruelty are sad - sport fishing, goldfish in washing machines, inhumane conditions in slaughterhouses, child abuse... all bad things.

Being cruel to animals to illicit a reaction from people is sadder. A callous disregard for other living things is incompatible with being part of civilized society.

Censorship? Maybe. If the majority of people in a society choose to work within a set of norms, and an individual wants to break taboo just to call attention to himself, then perhaps corrective censorship is warranted.

We all live here with our set of morals because we want to. If an individual wants to break a rule and show society how we are all wrong, and how we could better ourselves, thats one thing. But how do you not want to censor cruelty? I can't see society becoming better because we decide to make goldfish smoothies in washing machines.

So I flagged it. I don't fish for sport, I don't eat lobsters boiled alive, or foie gras. I try to buy food from ethical sources. And no, I am not going to find every instance of animal cruelty on youtube and flag it - thats unrealistic. Just the ones brought to my attention.

"If a majority of people in a society choose....."

Oops. You didn't mean that. No one on this site wants the majority to choose their lifestyle. The tyranny of the majority is exactly why we have certain constitutional protections and freedoms that cannot be taken away by the majority. I suspect there a few jews, gays, artists, etc. who would find your justification pretty darn uncomfortable. "Corrective censorshp" implemented by the majority - now there's a horror show.

Eric, I'm telling you - you don't want "the majority" to tell you what you can read, how you dress, who you choose to live with, whether you can sit in the front of the bus, whether you pierce your nose, die your hair, produce a disturbing movie. Believe me - you don't want to have to run the right to express youself by "the majority."

And frankly, y'all's over reaction to something that is not an illegal activity will cause more people to watch that piece than just clicking to something else. If the goal of the producer of that video was to provoke, then he is watching your flags and chuckling.

In nature all other creatures only kill for food reasons and to defend themselves. That makes sense. I find it revolting to see creatures being abused for other reasons, people or animals. Yes, that includes sport fishing. Yes, I eat meat, but only from animals that had a good life. Yes, I eat fish, but only those kinds that aren't on the list of threatened species. A little respect for other lives doesn't hurt. To me this video is disrespectful.

Disrespectful

Now there is a fair critism of the piece. It is a valid view that does not call for placing a boot on someone's neck. P.S. This my cat, Nigel, performing his favorite trick.
