I Dream of Jeannie

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My mother tells me I met Barbara Eden on the streets of Astoria, Queens (NYC)in person when I was around 2 or 3 y.o. and still in a carriage.

Funnier still is that I have an aunt that looks like her and was a belly-dancer by trade. Never knew what color aunties hair was to be. Striking resemblance (sp?) during her "blonde" phase.

Barbara was not on a magic carpet. LOL

Should the carpets match the curtains it the middle-east as well?

I thought I was the only one...

...who loved Dr. Bellows! I mean, BELLOWS!

"Major Nelson! I will see you at 18:00 hours for a complete examination!!!"

"Never mind. He's done it to me again!"

"General, I finally have him right where I want him!"

I liked Amanda too. It would have been easy to make her character just a jerk, but she wasn't...she was actually nice and more hard on Dr. Bellows!

I thought Larry Hagman's physical comedy and antics were fantastic.

I also liked the fact that they were willing to experiment on the show...there were a few episodes where Jeannie would conjure up just a whole bunch of people making noise, and a rock band, and on and on, the party would be out of control, and then the episode would just end! Loved it.

my favorites are OF COURSE appliance related...

1) the 'Tags that are not plugged-in in the scene where where Jeannie pulls the shirts washed(and folded) out of the washer LOL

MAGICAL

2) And when she has maj. Nelson on a spit in the upper oven of an avocado gas stove. The flames were, of course not realistic, but made for good tv. They dont usually "lick" the er,,, LOL... no can't say it that way, but I can say the roast..!!!

GAS stove... in Florida... are you mad? Rather rare, IMHO.

I Dream of Jeannie.....

I also thought it was interesting that they *plugged up* her navel for the show, considering what is revealed on tv these days!

This was such a fun show! I always liked the opening cartoon graphics too! Guess this will be the next one in line for a movie redux!

The last interview I saw with York

He was in a wheelchair and had those oxygen nose clamps. This was quite a while ago.

It is sad that almost that entire cast has passed away.

How cool of a "Lounge" would a life-size replica of the inside of Jeannies' bottle be?

of course I'd need an ottoman to fill the center seating area! LOL

The link is regarding her bottle, and ordering one!

LOL ROLF LMAO

and for $370 you get a "free" tube of "Dreamy Jeannie cork grease" which can also be purchased separately for $1.50

LOL I tried to copy the text but a very cool message pops up:
"Jeannie says look, but don't touch!" that's always been MY motto! LOL LOL LOL

IMHO- Men are visual, women are tactile!
