I-H and CO-OP refrigerators

anyone have any international harvester or CO-OP refrigerators?
my grandpa had a co-op fridge that was bought in 1955,was
replaced about 1987 because of bad door gasket-it still ran
good.Also used to see 1950's international harvester fridges.
Presuming these were rebadge jobs,who built them?

I have my parent's 1950 IH, still running like a top. She

A family friend worked for IH. They had a single door refrigerator, a chest freezer and a window air conditioner from IH. In the mid 60s, the company forced many of the men who were just about ready to qualify for retirement (our friend included) to take early retirement at reduced benefits or be fired. That led to his opening a Hickory Farms Store.

I gave my brother in law an early 50's IH 'fridge for his garage about 15 years ago. It's still going.....

IH, they're "Femineered!"

Here's a shot of the only CO-OP fridge I've ever seen. By the looks of it, it might have needed a little, ummm, electrical attention : )
