Tuesday AM it was 65 in the house at 3:30 so I turned on the heat and in 30 minutes, it was 69 in the house. Tonight is supposed to be cold, too, but I have dried three loads in the indoor dryers so maybe some of the heat will stick around. I love using my indoor dryers and very am glad for the powerful Vornado heater in the bathroom. It heats the bath, prevents steaming on the mirrors and dries my hair.

I turned on the air conditioners last week. It's currently 96 at 4:00 PM. I'd rather have the heat on.

We've had to use our heat way too much already.
Mostly, to take the chill out in the morning, but it's on low pretty much all the time.
Daytime highs are in the 50s, and it's in the 40s or upper 30s overnight.

Yuck is right

I know that some love it. Perhaps even some members here.
But I hate winter.
Autumn is probably my favorite season.
I love when the summer heat and humidity finally lets up.
I love the leaves. (Except for the whole raking/picking them up part)
I love the traditional fall comfort foods.
I love Autumn/Halloween decorations.
But I have to try not to dwell on what comes next.

Weather has been crazy this year! In about one weeks time we went from A/C to turning on the heat to knock the chill out. Hate that first time of the season when dust has to burn off the coils, stinks the house up. My elderly Dad doesn't handle being chilled at all. Thermostat is set to 77 daytime and 76 in the evening. Autumn is my favorite season. My mums are all in bloom!

Last nite cold

Tonight isn't!
Felt like a summer day today but not sure what's next. Suppose to reach 80 during the next couple of days
Hate winter. Love spring summers.
Fall is bittersweet...nice but remider things left undone.

I’ve had to use the hydronic electric baseboard heaters downstairs every morning for a couple of hours every day now for at least the last month, and every evening from about 6:30 PM until we go to bed. And we’ve been using the electric blanket for about a month now too. While its warm, even hot in the afternoon, once the sun starts to go down it cools off quick. Also, we have lots of tall trees both in the front and back of the house, so the downstairs is almost always cool, even cold, when its still warm outside.

Last evening, I went to the basement and turned on the hydronic system for the glass room. I set the water temperature lower than when it is really cold outside and this morning the house was a comfortable 69F without the furnace being on at all. I also dried three loads of laundry before going to bed and that helped warm the house to 69F, but it did not lose heat overnight.

I went straight from A/C to heat...two weeks ago already. Heats been on ever since. Highs have been in the 50s with only one day making it into the 60s, and lows in the low 40s to low 30s. In a couple months this will feel like summer.

We have had the heat on for several weeks.

Use the gas fireplace quite frequently recently as well.

Of course, I have my 85 year old mother living with me that is freezing at 90 degrees. But we have had some 30s already a few mornings.

We went from a/c to heat in just a few days. It was so humid and damp couldn't turn the a/c off and then it went cold, barley in the 50's and 30's at night. Using up the last of last years oil and just ordered another 150 for hopefully Nov and Dec.

My Carrier didn't want to fire on the first try a couple of weeks ago but cleaning the pilot sensor and coaxing the bi-metal with a lighter brought it out of it's slumber and it's working fine since then. This has happened before, usually on the first run of the season but I ordered the part to replace the pilot assembly to have on hand. That's one part I've never replaced so it is probably coming.
