Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Nothing special about either one of them. Standard E2L without a pump.

At one time, I had 10 Maytag wringers and 8 of the 10 I picked up for free.

Maytag wringers are great but they are the Chevy Tri-5s of washers since they are the first vintage washer that comes to mind whenever you bring up the subject of vintage washers or appliances to anyone who isn’t familiar with vintage appliances.

I live in Mansfield Ohio (less than an hour from Kidron)and I have seen these, working, go for less than $100.00 even lately. Location,Location,Location!!

High price!

These regularly go for around $100 in my area in decent working condition. In fact I found an almost brand new condition machine being sold for around $350 this past week and I’d bet the seller would have let it go for less. These are so common it’s not hard to find a good deal. I seldom look on eBay as prices are almost always inflated much higher than items I can find on CL or FB marketplace locally.

Many eBay sellers inflate prices because otherwise won't make much money.

Between PayPal's cut, then what eBay extracts in fees there often is quite a significant take on anything that sells. FleaPay takes a cut of total final selling price including shipping. So will PayPal because that is amount buyer pays to complete transaction.

Say you want to clear at least $100 for an appliance. It must go for about 15% to 20% more on account of various fees.

I understand

This is partly why I don’t sell anything on EBay. I love CL but I wish it was a similar setup to the FB marketplace layout which is much more user friendly. If people don’t like FB the only thing that will replace it is if something better comes along.
