I just got an unusual top-loading dishwasher!

What a great find!  I have one that I have never used that is branded "Philco".  I have ran it, but never used it to wash dishes.  You will love the sound of the motor when it starts.  Such a unique sound.  Also lot's of splashy sounds hitting the outer tub.  It does move a ton of water while washing!

 

Yours is in much better shape than the one I have.

Here's the ad for the previous year's DW-ITL model, the only difference I can see is that this one has no light switch.

Mine certainly is one of the last GM Frigidaires with a porcelain interior or one of the few with the Super Surge wash action and a porcelain tub! D&M porcelain is still much better than that blue Plastisol coating that Frigidaire used on it's other models then!

Very Neat Find Phil.

It is amazing how much GM-Frigidaire got D&M to modify one of their [ standard ] TL portable DWs for the Frigidaire name. It is the first time I have ever seen a non-D&M wash arm and completely different racks in one of there creations.

 

Its too bad you will not be able to come down for the Wash-In next week as you could bring this DW down and we could run it next to the REAL FD TL slant top CI portable DW that I picked up a little while ago and compare overall performance etc. We are going to be using portable DWs to wash all the dishes on Saturday evening.

 

Everyone knows what a fan I am of D&M DWs, but overall I dough that there would much longevity difference between the real FD and your new D&M FD DW and at least you can find parts for your version, LOL.
