High Speed Spin

I wonder if the washing machine backed off on the high speed spin due to balancing. Or maybe LG is marketing an 1100 rpm spin but only doing a 700 rpm spin.

New Machine Installed

My machine was replaced today. I ran it without any clothes. Agitation was much stronger. I am about to do my first load to see if the turnover is better.

Loving My New Machine

I've done three loads in my new LG washer. Overall, I am very happy with my machine. This one agitates and cleans my clothes very well.

There are a few things I do not like. The spin is short and somewhat anemic between the wash and rinse phases of the cycle. If the TurboWash and Extra Rinse is selected, the final rinse is a spray rinse and the washer releases the fabric softener during this spray rinse; therefore, the fabric softener option must be selected. My old LG topload did a spray rinse first and then a deep rinse second. The cycle times are a lot longer than the cycles times on my old LG frontloader. This washer is rougher on my clothes than the frontload washer. My partner commented on this as well. One of his shirts had a long string hanging from it. This never happened with the frontload we had.

I am happy with my new set. I tend to trade my sets every 2 years or when something new and exciting comes out. My partner does not understand my obsession. It took a lot of convincing to get him to allow me to purchase us a new set. I traded my sets like crazy when I was living by myself. Now that we live together, I think we may have this set for many years to come. Bummers!!!
