Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Steve and Gary you guys did a great job of cleaning the machine up. Great rollover. Does it spin the clothes fairly dry? Great videos. Thanks so much.

Yes it does. Will try spinninng a pair of jeans and towels ASAP. Want to also experiment by putting items already spun in the Maytag Neptune front-loader to see if this pulls out any more water. As mentioned on this board a number of times, it's not only the spin speed but the diameter of the spinning cylinder that affects G-force and total extraction ability! In this case, the bigger the better. :-)

Clothes Retainers

Hey Guys

In the absence of the spin mat/cover the best thing is to cover the load with a light coloured tea towel/pillowcase and tuck it down the sides of the load- should stop anything from escaping over the side!

TYVM!

more videos.. (Can we say "obsessed?" *LOL*)

See #1 through #8 in the mini-series on YouTube by searching for Tosiba Twin-Tub.

:-)

Great find!

What a great find...never seen the like of it and what a lot of supplement gunk!

You did a nice clean up job and well done for saving the graphics - well worth saving imho.

Great save all round, congrats and enjoy.

P.S. thanks for pics + vids.

Videos updated there are 7 or 8 in total.

Did I mention that the spinner has some type of leak?

BOO! HISS!

Otherwise, however, it is mechanically sound!

Would a rubber retainer from a Maytag A-50 fit? If so, I MIGHT have a spare disc. My garage looks like a collision between a Salvation Army reject pile and a parts supply house but I am willing to dig if you think it might fit...

~Do you know what the spin speed is?
No, sorry. Have not tried to research this machine on the web (yet).

~And what is the width of the drum?
That I can find for you.

~We have plastic clothes retainers here but I don't know if they would fit into that spin basket.
Thank you kindly. Will have to see the size of the spinner.

~silicone flexible caulk the noodles out of the spinner leak.
Oh goodie! Something to try.

Thank you SO VERY KINDLY. I'll see what the size is. I certainly do appreciate your kind offer!

Steven, It's FABULOUS (and I don't use the "F-word" lightly!) n I'm just plain green with envy! I have wanted one those darn things forever. Congrats on the new toy and thanks for the great vids!

Have fun- Laurent
