Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Thought I'd post a picture so you guy's know what she looks like.
I'm just glad the only thing that happened was the broken glass. Not a chip anywhere and the clock and everything works fine.
Believe it or not she only fell about four inches.

I'm sorry to hear about all the other mishaps but, I think once it happens to you it makes you much more careful!

I didn't have the heart to post one with her umm...scar.

Bethann - that range is quite beautiful. This is the first time I've been able to really see that the 57 ranges actually look like control towers! Glad to hear you are feeling better.

Don't worry - the pushbutton Maytag in the basement has a big crack in it. I just tell people it gives the washer more character :-)

Sorry to hear about this Beth Ann. Is the glass panel that broke whole control panel, or just the top white area? If it is only the white area, I can have one made for you, if you send me what is left. If it is the entire control panel, just keep checking ebay for another range. These do not bring that much $$$ in white, so you could purchase the whole range cheap, and then have the seller send only the top panel with the glass.

Just make sure that the seller is willing to do that beforeh

When I sell things on eBay it's because I want to find a good home for them. Disassembling something to get one part off and then still having to dispose of the rest is definitely not something I'd be willing to do.

Most people would though. When I sell something I finished with it. I think that most people feel that way, although some are more sentimental, the money still talks.

Brief update: Mr. Fixit is still alive and ambulatory, though I think he's sleeping with one eye open, if you know what I mean.

If anyone knows were to find a replacement glass, please please let Bethann know. She's having kind of a bad week.

Just awesome

Bethann,
That range is just beautiful....when this house was built around 1960 it had a Frigidaire coppertone kitchen in it...only it had the wall mounted oven and the cooktop stove. I sooo wish they were still here but my mother replaced the oven with a 80 something Maytag and the cooktop with one of the first ceramic cooktops...God that cooktop is miserable to try and clean. I rarely use it I use my farberware electric frypans, kettles and griddles rather than using the stove.
