With energy prices - and my partners washer being a combo - I was desperately missing a way to quickly and efficiently dry laundry at his place.
We had to drive a bit anyway to pick up some birds (my partner keeps a few singing birds) and this was on sale not to far from that place.
Got it for 95€ and it is well used, but still in pretty decent condition.
I guess it's about to turn 20 years old.
That should be the 2nd or 3rd heat pump dryer ever by AEG/ELux.
Haven't run a load yet, but it had no error codes stored, all components run fine.
Only minor gripe so far is a bit of a droning sound when the drum runs empty, but I think with a load in it'll be half as bad.
And it's in the basement anyway.
Also impressive how far efficiency of dryers has come over the past 20 years.
This uses 2.4kWh for 6kg load spun at 1000rpm.
My dryer uses half that for a kg more of laundry.
On thing I ain't sure about is if that specific model is ment to have a foam insert in the bottom filter.
Though I am not to concerned about that - a good friend has the same dryer and has been running hers without any secondary filter for years and does not have any issues.
Also, interestingly, this version of control does not yet allow to check the operating hours. So not sure how much it actually ran ever, but it is certainly used a bunch.
But any hints are much appreciated.
I'll report back once I get to washing some stuff![this post was last edited: 3/13/2024-07:21]
