sorry

I've obviously messed up doing the link.

She just reminded me of Dick Emerys character `hetty', this was just a link to a sketch on youtube, she@s practically wearing the same coat.

Twinnie

I believe this was the image Mathew was aiming to post, it was taken about 10 years after the photo above when she was looking to buy the twinnie. Mike has more information on this but I believe it has been identified over on FB by our Italian friends as a Candy, but is some sort of automatic - if I heard it right the "spin dryer" is actually a suds saver/water heating tub

Semi Auto

Hi Keith, a similar washing machine came up on Diomedes website and it showed a similar machine with a large LHS lid and a narrow RHS, he explained it was a semi-automatic vertical washing tub with agitub and the rhs was a long narrow tub whith heater which heated the wash water and could then be used to Sudz Save for the next load while you rinsed and spun dry in the main tub, quite ingenious I thought, am trying to find the pic but proving futile at the mo...

Mathew, ha ha that did make me laugh, that could be me (salesman) in Agri Electrics.

Unidentified washer

Hi guys, i think its a Stokvis twin tub .What jogged my memory is the two drain hoses at the back in the centre that another hose would be plugged into when in use. There is a picture of one in thread Post# 399658 sorry dont know how to do link.Unlike most manufacturers they made machines with either an upright agitator or a bottom mounted pulsator, and later models still used that drain hose arrangement.Regards Nige.
