My Tri-star

Hi, Bob. I have that same model of Tri-star that you have. I found mine new in the box at a thrift store for $50.00. I almost passed out!!!! I used to to new home cleaning and apartment moveouts and I always used my Tri-star. Nothing can kill it!!!! I use Eureka F&g micron filtration bags and I cut them in half, so them I have 2 Tri-star bags. I also cut the same type of bag to make a filter for the motor. And I also put Glade plug-in refills under the bags, just laying freely around under the bag. It smells SOOO good all the time, even when the bag is full!!!!!.....Bill in Az.....

the IEC-TriStar vortex system is designed to allow the air intake to the motor to be clear-by piling the dirt in the front of the bag.If you have a transparent lid for your machine-you can see the action.Even if just a very small spot in front of the motor is clear-the machine will pick up-an area the size of a silver dollar as the salesman says.Its a clever design-not only for efficient pickup-but to assure the motor has a supply of air to cool it.You can also compare the action of the TriStar bag to dirt being pushed by a bulldozer-the dozer blade being curved like a plow to roll the dirt instead of merely pusing it-the rolling action allows the tractor to push more in a load.
