The title just was too good to resist. LOL!

Found this at a yard sale during my route. As Stephanie would say, I opened a can of elbow grease on it. It came remarkably clean. Replaced the cord end with a period plug that I had saved away for just such an occasion that looked like what was on the cord end already just not broken up. The cord came clean too.

I must learn to slow down for pics. I got into it and just let myself go. I don't remember seeing too many Westinghouse toasters. Vintage ones anyway. Now it's so pretty, I don't want to use it. I'll display it and occasionally make some toast with it as I can't stand something useful just sitting collecting dust.

Here's a toast to your toaster!

How lucky are you?!! It looks fabulous! The chrome on that thing looks perfect. Awesome job! I completely understand about slowing down to take pictures. I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing I forget to take pictures... Even though it looks so pretty, you should use it regularly. That's where the fun is!! Happy toasting!

Well Stephanie you've arrived.  When folks start referring to you in posts as RCD has  you are now an honoured member of the site!

Yes she is! Her job on the Maytags inspired me to buy that toaster and spiff it up. I had absolutely NO other reason to pick up yet another small appliance. Ummm, yeah. It's all Steph's fault... ;)

I just laughed out loud at the both of you. I am so very happy to have finally "arrived" at AW! Drew, I will gladly be responsible for you saving that little toaster. I'm glad I have been a positive influence! NOW GO MAKE BREAKFAST WITH IT!!! Don't forget to post pictures of the toast. LOL!!

Cool WH Toaster

I hope it works Andy, WH made terrible heat controls, I have purchased many WH Irons, coffee pots electric skillets and even a Cool yellow porclean enameled WH toaster and I have never had one that operated properly, and I would diffidently not leave a WH appliance plugged in unattended, when I was about 4 years old my Mother had a WH Iron literally melt its aluminum sole plate and the molten aluminum set the ironing board cover on fire.

If It doesent..

Somewhere I have a service manual for it!..I have one that doesent work, but ive never got around to fixing...for really bad heat controls, GE has to be in the top 3, I love the looks of GE waffle irons, but everyone I get usually burns up the waffles because the contacts stick...Sunbeams are much better.

Interesting... Question is how contacts can stick. It's a bimetallic strip so why would it not bend as it should? Reason I'm asking is that the contacts on several of my Sunbeam vacuum coffe pots randomly stick. It will be fine for day or weeks, then bam the contacts stick and the coffee boils over and makes a mess on my counter. I have not figured out what causes it. I've taken to putting the upper bowl back on the pot after I pour. Frustrating.
