if you bough a house in 2025 with a modern vmw topload washer and modern frontload

hello to all aw members say you bough a house or summer cottage to spend summer that had a possible faulty vmw topload washer whirlpool maytag ect this includes front load and wanted to renovate the place and put vintage machines of any brand what would be your choice in term of vintage belt drive topload or direct drive top load or vintage front load in my case it would be a gold 1972 inglis royal100 with matching dryer with out wood grain panel or inglis 1972 superb brush filter dispenser with mounted fabric softner dispenser on agitator same color gold (second choice avocado green) or white depending on whats avalable all answers are good pics are my dream vintage sets

Chances are I'd keep and fix up the modern front loader, it'd make absolutely no sense to me going for a vintage top loader. Even if I had to have the front loader replaced, I'd still get another one preferably LG. But if I had to go vintage, either a Whirlpool Duet or Maytag Neptune just like what I used to have since they were both awesome. When my grandfather's moving & storage crew accidently threw out the Neptune stackable from his cabin that flooded, my uncle considered getting a stackable top loader until I told him that front loaders are still the way to go so I got him to get a SQ SF7. Now there are some places like my cousin's cabin where I'd have no choice but to only use a top loader because the water heater is in front of the washer, if the GE had to be replaced with something else, I'd get a used direct drive or SQ classic.

Laundry appliances don't typically convey with house sales here, in my experience and others with with I'm familiar.  Refrigerators may or may not depending on circumstances.  Dishwashers, set-in or drop-in ranges, cooktops and wall oven typically do for being "built-in."

I took the refrigerator (for spare/garage use), washer and dryer when I sold my first house.  Took my DishDrawer, swapped it for what that was in the house I bought.  There was no washer and dryer in the (current) house that I bought but a refrigerator was included.

My sister and SIL are bringing their washer and dryer when they move in with mom in a few weeks, leaving their kitchen appliances.  They brought the washer/dryer today for Easter holiday visit.  The machines mom has been using are mine so they are coming back here.

I found all of my classic machines in the last year.A good friend of mine gave me the heads up about the 85 Whirlpool and the 74 Kenmore. The whirlpool was right in my town and I never would have even looked if he didn't tell me.

I came across the 2005 KitchenAid superba when I went to an appliance parts store to pick up a drain pump for the direct drive I was trying to get the tub out of.

The best for me though has been the abocado 1974 Kenmore 70 series washer. Nearly pristine condition and saw very little use in 50 years. Love those vacation cabins !

I don't think I'd run a front loader in a cabin that doesn't see much use. Too many areas to mold, especially when sitting for long periods. I'd get something older that has a mechanical timer and not a control board or boards.
