I have a Greyhound dog who has been eating long stemmed grass I discovered. Fred is at the vet's now for 2 more days because of this. The grass dosen't digest at all and has caused bleeding in his colon. The grass has sharp edges to it and cuts along the colon as it is being processed.
My vet wanted me to tell all who have dogs or cats that this should be watched and to keep them from eating this if possible.
Without being graphic here, it is horrifying to see blood running out where it shouldn't. I thought it may be of interest to pet owners. If any of you want to talk more about this, just send me an email and we can. Thanks for listening, Gary

Thanks for the warning

I know cats need grass I guess the short regular grass is ok just not the long stuff?
