I was upset when after have brought back the motor from the repairing center they told me the low-speed was short (so only spin-speed was avaialbe)...the technician said me "sfiammava" (=it went into fire!)...

It's not in my habits to leave such challenge so easy... Fortunately I had a motor taken apart from my aunt crashed old wm...
I asked a friend to help me with the tester... He realized the the values of my uncle motor were the same of Ignis one...so he ended up saying..."both went burnt or both are in good working order"...

This is the motor I found on the washing machine (the one I asked the tec to test)...at the end I decided to rewire this one (although is not the original one!)its diameter is 35-40cm

The lable...

This motor plate says:
10uF wash
20uF spin (provided with 2x10uF caps)

My aunt one instead said:
14uF both in wash & spin

As one of the old caps exploded I bought 2 new caps of 14uF in order to wire my aunt washer motor... But when my friend and I realize that this one had the opposite problem (it washes but not spins)...so I blame the exploded cap of the old motor!

CAPACITORS!

Here you are the only two "survivors"...
So I used one to wire (as the old) the wash speed wiring...then my friends suggest me for the spin speed requiring 20uF to rewire one of the old one and add on of the new ones... so:
wash speed: 10uF
spin spee: 10+14uF...the motor require 20 only but my friend told me that we "sfruttiamo la tolleranza" (=take the advantage of the tolerace of the +/-3%)

Relè!

The componento which function I haven't already understand is that little "pastiglia"...

I suppose it's a relè...to switch from wash into speed...

My aunt motor didn't spin because the switching probalby was provided byt the timer in the washin machine where it was mounted...

Here instead the timer I don't think the timer has a switche...you don't hear any TIC-TAC jumping from wash into spin...

Any way...now may it works!

...sorry if I've been not clear...

the problem is that neither I understood what happened and I confess you that I'm a bit worry of what the technician said to me for what it might yet have to happen...:-|
