That is very cute - did you bake the gingerbread yourself?
The Mormon Winter Quarters Visitor's Center here in Omaha has a gingerbread house display every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We went one year, the houses are absolutely amazing in craftsmanship and detail. So as not to tempt the overly hungry visitors, they have cookies to nibble on as you're viewing the houses - smart!

Reminds me of my childhood days...when the christmas-child was coming soon....
We had, and I reckon they are still available here, also the four figures of Hänsel & Gretel & the Wich with the cat!
We used to have an open chimney in the middle of the house's roof beneath which we put a candle (we call these little candles "tea-lights" as they are actually made for keeping tea-pots warm on a stovey) so that the windows, in wich we put red "glass window-panes" made from red gelatine sheets, shone as if the wich was at home...
The wich was usually placed into the ajar door, while Hänsel & Gretel stood in front of her and the light from inside the house fell onto the three figures and the cat watched the scenery from the chimney edge!

3 roofs? Were there some structural issues or construction disasters? I stand in awe of your abilities.
I just read that a roofing magnate who was only 66 years old and 91st on the Forbes list of wealthiest people was inspecting construction on the roof of his garage and FELL THROUGH! He died of massive head injuries. HIS OWN ROOF! Amazing.

Wow, that looks great, glamwales! Wish I had the patience for such things. I've often wondered: Do you actually eat the gingerbread house, eventually? Or is it strictly for 'show'?

I didn't make one this year
but here's one I made a couple of years ago. I've never made the gingerbread myself, for me the fun is in the decorating. The kit comes with a few candies, but I'm never happy with just those & have to add lots more. Here in humid South Florida the thing isn't really edible after sitting out for a couple of weeks. The candy gets all sticky & I'm sure the gingerbread would be rather stale. Another reason I don't make the gingerbread, I don't plan on ever eating it.
