OK I really really hate having to do this and I'm going to make this short. I recently found out that member Travlincub321 is actually Chad Miller. As bizarre as this probably sounds to newer members Chad had been banned from posting here three times in the past for pathological lying. His previous username was Explorer321 and before that it was CEMILLER12. It has also been reported to me that user Moonvalleycacti was also Chad and I confirmed that this was the case. For more information on what happened the last time I banned him please see this archived thread <br
<a href=http://www.automaticwasher.org/TD/THREADS/SAVED/13171x70.htm target=_blank>Thread 13171<a <br
Travlincub321's user account has now been closed. Because of his uncontrollable lying I told him never to return here again. He seems to have a pattern of going away for a year or two then sneaking back in. If you look back at Travlincub321 and Exploder321 postings you can seen obvious patterns in his writing style that should have tipped me off, but to be honest I really wasn't paying much attention to his postings <br
I now ask that all long time members please keep this in the back of your mind and in the future if you suspect that Chad has returned under a new user name to alert me so I can keep a close watch on the user. We have to be real careful before we accuse someone <br
While I don't personally believe Chad is a danger to anyone here I really can't guarantee anything. This is a very sad situation because clearly he is someone who loves washers like we do but his affliction has caused some major trouble here in the past. His most recent postings seem tame and maybe even a bit more mature, but I'm afraid it is going to be the same old story again, just like every other time. In the past I gave him multiple chances to stop before I banned him and every time I caught him in lies over and over again <br
With that said, this isn't meant to be a "lets pounce on Chad thread," I suspect he's probably a nice person and means well but cannot control himself when it comes to lies and exaggerations. My concern here is for our members and I want everyone to know his past history here <br
Thanks again for everyone's assistance in this matter. While all the good things that have come out of running this website far outweigh the bad, this is one of these times that it sucks to be a webmaster

Robert, knowing you the way I do

I know this has been a difficult thing for you to do. Thank you so very much for all that you do for us by keeping this site up and running. We don't say it enough but it is really appreciated.

That makes us... ... webminions?

Robert, you're not alone here. We all support you in your decisions. Even the painful ones... I know you kind of agonized over this for a while and hope you're getting back to your happy place. Go wash with the Apex. Quasi-Doctor's orders!

Well, that explains alot

I wondered why I could not keep the story together. He would call me and complain about what was going on in his life, and being me, I would feel bad for him. Even when I would be at work, and he would call me, I would sit and listen. Whatever you decide Robert,I will support it. I do not like people that are dis-honest.400 washingmachines, that is a lot of Tide my friend. As a listening ear, I am not helpful if I am not told really what is going on.When I am thinking about what was said, it does sound a little bit jumbled and mixed up. Time for a drink, please pardon me. rum and coke anyone?

Abiding Sadness

I was pleased to have Travlincub come for a visit. This group has created opportunities for us all to step out in faith meeting and spending time with people we know little about. Cub was a pleasant, if somewhat serious guest and I enjoyed sharing insider information about appliances, quick tune ups and the rest of the story behind the Brand names. There was a sadness about Cub not having plans for Thanksgiving and for whatever reason he was alone, its never pleasant to watch another's personal trials. Too many times I've seen low self esteem and abandonment take over an otherwise successful person preventing them from seeing their real value. It was when I walked away from my story and begin to live in the moment healing came in a lasting way. Robert has said this time Cub seems more controlled and mature and in that lies a hope that time will allow the stories to fall away and the real man step forth. No one wins in a situation like this and there was no fault in allowing one more chance. This would be be one Christmas Miracle I could wish for Cub. You are enough without a story.

I wish him all the peace, forgiveness and mercy he needs to get by in life.

It is said that 25% of the poulation has some sort of "processing issue" (That's a euphimism for mental illness). So it's bound to show up here too!

The person of interest came across as bright and enthusiastic and interesting. Too bad about the negative attributes.

And now, on a lighter note:

When I heard we had a "Chas" on-board, I was thinking we'd get to know Cher's new son.

The best thing about this . . .

. . . is that we no longer have to look at that downright spooky avatar he was using.

I also noticed as I took a trip down memory lane with the link Robert provided, that a couple of posters there have since also been banned. They were much more vicious than Chad could ever try to be, and deserved to be 86'd. In comparison, Chad was almost amusing, but toward the end of this latest crashing it was fairly easy to recognize his buckshot method of posting and his writing style, and the lying became blatant. The picture of his trunk sealed the deal for me. $45 for thrift store Tupperware? I'm willing to bet that sticker in his rear window is "SD" for San Diego. Last time I checked, San Diego wasn't in Nevada.

Robert, I feel badly for you that sometimes you're faced with this sort of housekeeping and decision making here, but we seem to have some vigilant types among us who had Chad pegged early on this time, so if there's a next time they'll come forward again.

Ralph:

" $45 for thrift store Tupperware?"

Haven't shopped Goodwill lately, have you? ;-)

I've seen price tags there higher than new retail for the same item in a regular store.

Drama!

Good Catch Robert!

I thought this in the back of my mind while reading the "new" post of this person that is all sounded familiar. I just thought it was imagination so I avoided the post over time.

Good Catch!

One thing I can say.....He Likes Cher!

Gee Whiz

After reading all of that, and that just shows how much time I have on my hands after work, I can't help but feel sorry for the guy. I've known a few people like this over the years, and it just sounds like he'll say anything to make an impression on someone or to feel accepted. A classic sign of very low self confidence. He may even need to seek some professional help and it looks as if maybe he's got some mental development issues. I hope this isn't taken as me bashing him, cause that isn't my intention at all. My heart goes out to him and I do hope that someday he'll learn that you don't have to make up stories to get people to accept you. Keep your fingers crossed everyone.

Great sadness.

It is unfortunate that this happened, and has continued to happen. I am thankful for our webmaster for dealing with it and allowing us to continue to enjoy the site. I am very thankful that our mostly friendly discussions have required relatively little moderation, from my outsider perspective.

Thanks Robert and Fellow AW.org members,
Dave

There's always hope...

I also logged time with Cub when he came to visit Reno to pick up some machines I had for him. He was pleasant and very interested in all the different machines I had to show him. I will have to say that compared to his past personas, he seemed much more... ... mature? than before. He took care of business with me and gave me no real reason to call 'B.S!'. I will remain optimistic that the improvements will continue and MAYBE one day in the future he might be able to rejoin us but he's really going to have to prove it.

And when that time comes-

"I will remain optimistic that the improvements will continue and MAYBE one day in the future he might be able to rejoin us" .....

-perhaps he will do a You Tube of Patti Labelle's "New Attitude" !!!!!

Thank YOU ROBERT

for watching out for ALL of us.. I understand he caused Santa some problems too. May he get run over by a raindeer. That pic looked like Miss Goodwill of 1946 just damn creepy!
