Looking for a Maytag 808 control panel, going to be basically converting my Maytag DE306 into and 806 dryer BUT with a 406/407 auto dry timer along with low and normal temperature selections. Doing this since I want a customized Maytag 806 dryer to go with an A806 washer if I happen to find one in the near future in my area.

This is the piece I need. Just need the 808 control panel itself and no more. This is the control panel off of the Maytag DE306.

The “good” news is I’ve located a Maytag 808 console in Arizona since Hippiedoll has a Maytag 808 dryer with a 808 console on it. Bad news is that Hippiedoll doesn’t have anyone near her that would be able to swap a different console into place since Hippiedoll isn’t familiar with swapping out control panels on Maytags from that era.

Hi Maytag85/SeanA806...

That's not entirely true...

What I told you was, that I have a Harvest Gold 808 dryer THAT I AM USING AS MY ONLY WORKING DRYER AT THE MOMENT. The Electronic Dryer Control isn't working quite right, because when the cycle is finished drying, my clothes have damp spots throughout. To get a completely dry load, I have to run the cycle a 2nd time.

I told you I spotted a MOL White center-dial Time & Temperature dryer with temperature buttons for sale locally.
BUT, if I were to offer you the 808 control panel, I would need the Harvest Gold cabinet from the 808 swapped over onto the MOL dryer, to match my Harvest Gold Maytag 806 washer.

I never said I needed another control panel swapped into place on my 808 dryer. That's not what I said. I'm sorry if you misunderstood me.

I don't need to have someone switch out my control panel, I would need the Harvest Gold cabinet switched onto the white MOL dryer (if it's still for sale & hasn't already been sold by now).

I thought you mentioned something about swapping the control panels out. Apologies for misunderstanding.

Reply 7: we definitely are on the same page since we both want to do the same thing with modifying TOL dryers with a timer to allow for flexibility and certainly for reliability.

Reply 8: not trying to get too far ahead of myself but literally am not far off from a Maytag A806 I’ve been looking for and and off since 2017. Just need to obtain those items and I’ll have a match to my Maytag A806 along with a fairly TOL dryer with the reliability and simplicity of the more basic models.
