Friend of mine got me an official sample of boomerang Formica.
Here's what it the blue looks like. Also comes in grey and a sort of persimmon-y color, I think.

Very nice. I ordered myself 2 samples earlier this week. I ordered one 3" x 5" sample each of charcoal and aqua. Additional color offerings are coral and light blue. You can go to formica's website (www.formica.com) and order samples that way, they have an 800 number for samples.

Hey Veg, where'd your friend pick that up? I'm trying to figure out if the Formica-carrying big-box stores have them yet. Would sure look good with my Hotpoint Fridge : )

My friend got it right from the Formica website. I ordered coral and charcoal samples myself today. There's a limit of (I think) 5 samples.

I'd love to redo my counters in the aqua--would look great with the yellow walls--but I think the cost would be prohibitive. And it doesn't look like a job I'd enjoy doing myself. Perhaps next year...
