Just wanted to give everyone a quick lesson on how to include a video in your post.

Just so its clear you cannot emebed a video in your posts with the Advanced Editing Bar switched on, so be sure to switch it off before you start your making your post if it is switched on.

Step #1 is go over to YouTube and under your video is a button called "Embed". Click this button and copy the blue highlighted code/text that appears below it.  Be advised YouTube allows its members to turn off the embed feature on their vidoes if they wish, so on certainly videos the Embed button might not be available.

Robert, is it still necessary to remove double quote marks from the embed code?

Step #2 is come back here to your thread and paste the copied embed text from YouTube into the text box.  Again be sure to have the Advanced Editing Bar turned off.

Preview and Post normally.  You can include text above and below the video if you wish, but be sure that the YouTube code is its own paragraph.

Go ahead, give it a try if you wish, show us your favorite YouTube video. Just so its clear, embeding videos can only be done by upgraded members at this time.

No Jeff that is no longer necessary in the Discuss-o-Mat 2.0, lol

Great stuff Robert. Please don't ever remove the old editor. :)

One suggestion, the wash/rinse/spin icons take a lot of valuable real estate on the left side of the screen. Can you add a 'large/small/no' icon option to user profiles? An alternative is to use one icon position and simply replace it depending on the thread's read status, instead of using three separate icons.

I add that to the "wish list" for another time Jeff.  The next task on my list is to test the site in Internet Explorer 9 and then figure out why the new menus on the home page are loading so slowly for some.  I have a feeling I'm going to have to redesign those menus unfortunately.

This is only a test of the emergency broadcasting system

Just to see if it works. Our church choir at Xmas.
