Hi.
A while back someone here posted a spec sheet from Miele on how to incease the water levels on rinses, and may be washes too?

I printed it out and cannot find it. I am not sure if it was for Model 4842.

I would like to know if it is the same for Model W 3033?

If someone here has the information can it plesae be posted, or direct me to a site that I can pick it up from?

Thanks so much

Ray

Me too... Me too...

As my set will be delivered and installed tomorrow. I wouldn't mind having this information and/or a service manual if someone knows where I can get one.

Here is a video link

This is a great video showing how to get into the programming mode of the W 3033. Remember the door of the washer needs to be closed for this to work!

Speed Queens

I still have them. They are being stored in the garage for a while. Just wanted something different.

Water Level Adjustment

Thank You Rod for the information.

Malcolm.......... Let us know how you make out and like the machines.

Also if you made the adjustment for the water levels.

I think the manuals are on the mielsusa website.

Miele Update

Got my set installed yesterday.

Entered the programming menu and the only thing I changed was setting Max Water to ON.

I'll post a picture shortly.

Nice Pair!

Here they are in their new space.

I painted and updated the shelving prior to their arrival.

Malcolm very cool set !
Tell us how do you like them ...
You decided not to go with the pro models..
Like to hear more on your thoughts on the custom cycles,
when you get to them.
Next you might get the Miele steam oven lol.
Glad you got them.

Hi Malcolm.

Nice color for the laundry room.

So there were not other programming selections to increase the water other thanone you set? I think the video had more, but maybe it was changed?

Now...You need some Persil for this machine.

Keep us informed as you wash.

Multiple Settings

Yeah. I think all the settings Andrew posted in the video are still valid. Didn't want to change too many at one time. Maximum water seems to have done the trick. I think there is some method to change the [SENSITIVE] behaviour, but haven't investigated that yet.

Another option that intrigues me is one called [ALLERGY] but I need to do some research before playing with functions I don't understand.

They'll get a good workout this weekend...

Little Giants

After painful consideration, I decided to eliminate the LG set. Bottom line would have been 9K+ for the set. And the additional capacity was a rating only. The drum size was the same. I believe the glass door was slightly different allowing for a slight increase in drum volume.

Hi Malcolm
I watched the videos on youtube. I was impressed. It seems with the options programmed that they add more water to the cycles.

That is smart of you to just do one option at a time.

SO did you do a load in it yet?

Service Manual

I will post a link to the service manual for both the T8003 and W3033 this weekend - the files are too big to email.

Manual

Thanks Andrew. I'm sure it will be a good read!

Yes, I ran a load of jeans last night. It performed very well. I am still somewhat amazed by the dryer. Seems so small but handles the same sized load as a regular American dryer. Not sure how, though. Must be magic.

I will probably wash everything that isn't nailed down this weekend.

Paint Color

Well, that was a tough decision. And the final color isn't really what I wanted to put in there, but it works. I initially wanted to go with a dark grey. But the selected paint chips really didn't go well with the tile.

The fallback color was a deep dark chocolate, but had second doubts about it being too dark for all the walls. Went with my third choice and really had doubts when it was going on the wall. But after a couple of days, it has grown on me.

Pedestals

The pedestals lock together to form one sturdy base for the pair. Amazing that the only other manufacturer I ever found with a single base for both washer and dryer was Maytag for the early Neptune machines.
