The range is a late 70s or early 80s with a creative repair to broken oven and drawer handles... Nothing 1957 about that.... LOL

Cool house

Probably was pretty eye-popping in 1957!  But, I don't care how many owners there have been, there's been some seriously-bad decorating going on in that house.  Other than the structure itself I don't see anything that says 1957 to me.  Most of the interior looks like late 60's/early 70's Mediterranean threw up all over the place.

 

And that, is my two cents' worth....

The house itself is great, the furnishings ugggghh.  Why do people try and decorate mcm houses with traditionalal period type furniture is beyond me.

Not for me!!! Beyond my pay grade!!!!TOO MUCH color there.And in the kitchen-turn the giant clam shell right side up and use it as a fruit dish!And--don't want to live on a cliff in what could be an earthquake prone area.

The cooktop in the kitchen has solid burners. Who made that?

It could be one of the early Corningware branded ones; IIRC Frigidaire also made a smooth-top ceramic cooktop with the stainless divider.

The cooktop in the main (indoor) kitchen looks like a Frigidaire WCI replacement from the 1990's. My sis-in-law has the same cooktop in white.

The range in the outdoor kitchen does look a lot like a Corning by the control panel.

I do want that saucer shaped chandelier over top of the dining room table. I've been looking for one much like that forever for our dining room

I believe it was an early Corning.  It appears to have divisions between the elements, the later Corning we had in '73 did not.

 

Wow, just realized it was 44 years ago!  Still have a number of the ground bottom pots from Coning and use them often...

Thanks for the confirmation, Matt, I've not seen the divided cooktop from Corning. We visited relatives in North Dakota way back in the 70's and they had just built a house with a new Corning smooth top range. She demo'd it for my mother (and myself, far more interested) with the cookware and I remember it took forever to boil a few cups of water. They had literally just moved into the house a few weeks before and she was trying to get the dealer to take it back and bring a coil element range in it's place, she hated that Corning.

As Matt mentions, the range is probably a Corning, but regardless, it was made by Frigidaire.

The exterior of the house reminds me of a motel.
