Search the Big Three Big Box chains for "induction range" sorted low to high price and a newcomer appears just behind Frigidaire at the sub-$2,000.00 price point:  Samsung.

Their new front-control slide-in offerings sell for about $1,500.00 to $1,800.00 competing with radiant electric ranges from the rest.

So, who's next?

OK, so which do you prefer? Induction or resistance (electric)?

I happen to prefer gas ranges, but currently I only have a gas cooktop, and an old GE P*7 wall oven. Both work great. The gas cooktop replaced a badly worn/stained Corning electric cooktop about 25 years ago.

Yeah, she's a beaut, all right . . .

More details here.
