Alex: I would say above average for a modern DW.
If not about the best you will find. Or were you expecting a real KitchenAid such as this?

Wasn't expecting it to be like a real KitchenAid - I'm fine with this.
I know that US DWs have some basic different start parameters to work with.
But I just can't get my head arround why US manufacturers can't create a truly efficent DW. Or simply copy it.
You see, we use less then 2 gal to wash a full load perfectly clean. Our cycles do take 3h, sometimes close to 4h to do that, but yours do so as well.
And how? How do we do that?
High performance, variable speed motors with high performance pumps. Highly optimized, almost self cleaning filter systems. Water recycling. Optimized drying methods. Self opening doors.
Nothing that could not run of 120V and a hot water supply. It's there, right in front of your eyes.

I'm glad Reviewed has started to do these videos, though I wish they would also capture footage from older dishwashers as comparison, but I suppose that would hurt approval of new machines. I also wish they wouldn't speed the video up, because it turns into a blur of motion where it's impossible to see the individual jets and how well they are reaching, as well as get an idea of the rotation speed.
The spray is not bad at all, especially for the top arm, but I could do without the "Dynamic" wash arm. It seems like a gimmick that will fail in 3 years or so. I like the look and mechanics of the alternating-valve wash arms in the Whirlpool and Kenmore sisters a bit better.
Seeing so many of these videos has revived a bit of faith for Whirlpool's modern dishwashers. I wonder, because they now seem to be fairly decent machines in today's US market, if that means they'll be phasing out sometime soon, in place of a new design that will have a rocky start for it's first ~5 years. They seem to have a knack for that trend (remember how many complaints there were about the Voyager when it launched?)

These are interesting videos! I'd love to do one in my Frigidaire Gallery. lol. Since I was a kid I wanted a KA dishwasher. I remember how heavy duty they were back then...now the high end Kenmores are basically the same thing. Not very unique anymore, aside from the name.

I also wish Reviewed.com would stop speeding up the videos' because it doesn't really do anything to help determine performance. If they want to get to the end it would be better to fade the vid away and then fade it back in at the end.
One other thing. Why are they doing the vids with half empty machine. If they want to show how the dishwasher really performs they can make a vid with no dishes and then make another one with the thing fully loaded with items...that will show what is really happening inside.
Think I will ask them to do so, doubt they will do it.

... Because the camera's can't handle the heat of a full wash.

Leave a comment at the Reviewed site - they'll see it. Speeding up the video is not a very authentic representation of what actually goes on inside the machine and renders much of the video all but useless except for entertainment. On the other hand, if the site is relying on ad-click revenue from manufacturers and retailers, entertainment would likely be the key to higher revenue for everyone.
This is a video they've done about their testing methods, while some of the soils look challenging, they're certainly not "BobLoad" tests.
