Doesn't it almost seem like Danby took a page out of KitchenAid's KD10 when they designed a sump and wash-arm like this?

Only, unlike the KitchenAid cast-iron wash-arm, I don't think you could use this one for a tire-chock on a 747...

I HAVE THIS

I have the Danby countertop dishwasher. There's a whole thread on it with actual pictures i took.

I really like it. It's not as "cool" as a standard dishwasher, but it's cool on its own, and saves me from doing dishes.

I've been wanting one of those Danby countertop units for a while now, all the reviews here & elsewhere are excellent. Stainless steel interior, with a window no less. And from the eco-industrial geek viewpoint, there's a short cycle that can sanitize while still being water and power efficient.

Your spray arm there looks like more stainless steel, which should be fine as long as you don't need to use it as a tire chock for a 747:-). Which model is that and where did you get that picture?

The only problem here is my darn cabinets don't have sufficient clearance over the counters, they're about 2" short. The only way to do this would be to put it on a trolley but there's not really space for that either unless I do some serious re-arranging in the kitchen. So I wonder. Hmm.

Every time I do the dishes I'm thinking of how to find the space for that thing. I should probably just order one and then figure out something once it gets here.

Nah, didn't buy one...

...unfortunately :-) I have a KUDS-22 Superba to do the dishes :-D They do look like fun, though.

I found the pic when I followed Austin's link to the "compact kitchen," and then I found the dishwasher ("Silhouette" brand) link on their website. This pic was fished off their website directly.

I just thought the likeness was uncanny--I bet it does wash pretty well :-D
