Oldie, but Goodie!
General Electric was one of the biggest providers of Commercial Cooking Equipment and also marketed the same products under the Hotpoint name. I checked this particular one out and as best as can be figured out, this unit was manufactured sometime in the mid 1960's!
Coincidentally, a co worker and I were installing a new Hatco commercial booster heater in the Colgate Palmolive building in the mid 80's and they had a complete line of Cooking equipment made by GE and Hotpoint that was actually still unused and they dated back to 1949! Still had the labels on them!
Hobart bought the Commercial Cooking Line in 1981 and changed the GE/Hotpoint handles and nametags to Hobart.Shortly thereafter, Vulcan-Hart and Wolf Range were added and a complete gas and electric cooking line was offered to the Commercial field.
