After much talk, debates,(and martini's), my partner and I decided not to build a new house and stay where we are and remodel the house we are in. First on the agenda is to build me a new, larger laundryroom. Second is to convert my existing laundryroom into a 3rd bathroom. and 3rd is to redo the kitchen. So, With sunday being my birthday, my partner decided to give me my present yesterday since construction has started. And here it is!!!!!!

Robert, how do you like the new fridge? It's really beautiful. Any quirks? Did you shop around to see which french door system was best or did you make your selection based on brand name? I know somebody who is considering one of these french door models. Can you give us a shot with the dispenser side's door open?

I do have shots of the interior, freezer, and dispenser side. the shot of the dispenser did not turn out very well, but I will post it.

I did shop around a little. I went to home depot and looked at the Maytag, which I was sold on. I also looked at the LG while I was there and my partner was sold on that. Then I went to a local dealer we have here called "Jetson appliances" and didn't like anything that they had with the except of again the maytag. I then went to sears. My friend Toni (female) told my that yes even tho these units are made by are being made by LG, that they are being made to kenmore/sears specifations. She continued to tell me some of the things that sears did to the unit to make it there own, such as improved door hinges and that is what sold me. so here are more photo shots of the frig.

Very nice. I do like having all of the fresh food storage at eye level. Due to space issues in the way my kitchen is designed, a side-by-side or french door model is better suited to my arrangement. Same for my friend who is considering a french door model. I liked the Maytag also when I checked it out but will advise my friend that he should swing by Sears too when the time comes.

I did have a side by side, Whirlpool. I have always been a fan of whirlpool appliances, However, the frig i had sucked. I've always like the top mount frig better. This new one looks bigger compared to my old one, but it's actually smaller.
