More P & G (Profit & Gain) advertising Hype

Make it look like they care when the really don't

What kills me is that warm water has been used FOR A REASON- to dissolve and melt (body) oils from clothing.

Im thinking: Just how much energy will be saved when dingy dirty greasy yet salvage-able clothing gets thrown out needlessly and replaced with new.

As far as the ad(vertisement) goes, this whole "we care" attitude doesn't do much for me. Looks like blatent self-interest to me.

I'm thinking the whole detergent industry must be shi--ing a pickle realizing that with the wide-scale re-ntroduction of front-loaders in this coutnry, detergent use will go down by 75%.

fancy advertising hype

That entire story is nothing more than fancy advertising hype for this particular product.
I wonder if Tide Coldwater is based on the product "Cold Power",which is very popular here in Oz.
Cheers.
Steve.

over here,

Where cold or very low temperature washing is possible, the manufacturers recommend the highest temperature wash possible every month or so to prevent the build up of gunk and mold in the machines.
Any time a business starts in on their love for the environment I feel sick.
These super environmentally friendly companies push their green hearts here in Germany...then sell phosphate loaded detergents right over the border in Eastern Europe.
They're only in it for the money. And this is the latest marketing gag thought up by their young, dynamic "screw the consumers" marketing jerks.
Thanks for the post - they are now on my "never buy" list.

Panthera....I hear you on the detergent chemicals there.

My relatives in Mannheim are split down the middle on "Umweltsprodukte".

My poor aunt...I break her chops relentlessly with the cleaner bottles with the "Frosch" on them, going "grrribit, grribit"...lol!

Something tells me there are no frogs on the bottles in Bratislava, though...

I have to say, they really do work hard at trying to be responsible, though.

On the Coldwater Tide...I can't imagine that much light being provided by one washload....maybe twenty fluorescents, at a 100-watt incandescent-watt equivalent?

And what if you heat water with natural gas?

"Im thinking: Just how much energy will be saved when dingy dirty greasy yet salvage-able clothing gets thrown out needlessly and replaced with new"

What about the dryer fires caused by drying items still containing grease or oil?
