Just When I Thought I Had It All

Ron,its worth coveting. How easy would it be to make custards, sauces and candies without stirring or worrying of boil overs. Is it an small induction burner or a heating element?

Kenwood - mixer & more!!

Its a small induction unit, looks very impressive, heres the press release!! and price...LOl

06 October 2009

KENWOOD has added induction heating technology to its classic Kenwood Chef kitchen appliance.
On the Kenwood Cooking Chef KM070, the temperature ranges between 20°C to 140°C in the three-litre cooking and mixing capacity bowl, while an accurate variable control allows for several different cooking uses – from gentle warming to boiling.
The timing function allows the user to set the cooking time on a countdown ranging from five seconds to three hours.
Users can switch between the temperature and the timer display on the LCD screen at the touch of a button.
When the blue LED flashes, this indicates the temperature has not yet been reached, or when the stirring or pulse functions are in operation.
New advanced bowl tools have also been specifically developed for the Kenwood Cooking Chef. It also comes with essential kitchen attachments, including a power whisk, high-temperature flexible beater, an AT339 stainless steel blender and an AT640 food processor.
A brand new steam basket has also been added, which fits within the top of the bowl and can be used in the same way as a conventional steamer for vegetables, chicken, seafood and desserts.
The Kenwood Cooking Chef KM070 is available from October and will retail for £999.99..."""

I've seen a store demonstration and I was impressed both in function and price tag 1349€... but as soon as I'll get that spending money it's going to be mine ;)

Oh I saw this in John Lewis - its a monster of a mixer!

However that price tag!!!!!

Hmm not sure that I would use it though. I think it would be great for proving bread, but I can do this in the airing cupboard too. Also soup would be good but I do not think I would use it at all.

I do love my Kitchen Aid!

Oh thats brings me onto a KitchenAid question, does anyone know if they changed their beater size? My KSM90 seems to have a smaller bowel that the Artisan mixers.

I would love to have..

one of these mixers. WOW! a mixer that does both cooks and mixes. Imagine, not having to stand over the stove and "baby" my banana pudding. Does anyone know if this mixer can be purchase in the US? As for that special wing blade, you can purchased one of these wing blade through www.FreshFinds.com
This blade will fit any Kitchen Aid stand mixer.

Kenwood haven't been sold in America since sealing the deal with Delonghi. They are sold under 10 or more other brands, the most notable Cusinart and Viking. Kitchenaid has cahnged bowl sizes when adding the Artisan by raising the bowl enough to hold two more cups of liquid. The beaters for the tiltheads are all interchangable. The Accolade was made for a couple years and pulled from production. The Accolade had a broader bowl at the base and it's bowls and beaters are not interechangable with any other Kitchenaid mixer.
